  3. <hi style=afpcap>From the side, the F-117 looks like one of the makeshift Galactic Ships flown by space man Buck Rogers in the motion picture serials of the 1930s. In fact, the "Black Jet" manufactured by Lockheed is even uglier than it looks from this angle but is incredibly potent in accurately delivering bombs at night, in defiance of an enemy's radar and air defenses. The 49th Fighter Wing at Holloman AFB, New Mexico, has all of the F-117s which fly operational missions for the Air Force.</hi>
